It’s About Time

Friday, September 18th, 2009

“Walters Way” has been open since late 2005 and traffic has been less than stellar, to say the least. In all this time I have received only a small handful of messages commenting or asking about my LAMP Stack for Windows.

It’s obvious my Modus Operandi is not working, that I needed to do something if I wanted my ideas to be shared with a wider audience. But then again, the true hallmark of any great visionary: obscurity!

I decided it was time to join the 21st century, start writing a blog, create my notes and instructions in a more orderly and cohesive format; enter Wordpress. Part of this site will be my notes and observations on Wordpress as I flesh it out, expand and work within Wordpress. I plan on creating notes on plugins I try to use and even various themes and customizations I might try.

The majority of this site will revolve around my AMP (Apache, mySQL, PHP) Stack on Windows protocol and the tutorials I have, and will create, on the various aspects of the AMP stack and how to implement them within a Windows environment, all the while keeping as close as possible to the feel of Linux.

I’m looking forward to reading a wide variety of constructive criticisms and comments.
